Soft Tissue Management® (STM) is a Non-Surgical program individually designed for treatment of periodontal (gum) disease.
The goal of STM is to eliminate the active infection of the gums and root surfaces of teeth caused by bacterial plaque. The STM Program consists of 2-4 visits, which include scaling and root planing, Laser Bacterial Reduction (LBR), subgingival irrigation with anti-microbial and desensitizing medicaments, along with localized antibiotic treatment as needed (Arestin).
LANAP is an FDA-cleared laser periodontal treatment that offers a less painful, more successful treatment alternative to conventional gum surgery. LANAP = LAR is the only scientifically, research-proven procedure that results in true periodontal regeneration, new bone growth, and gum tissue reattachment. The LANAP=LAR treatment is one of the most successful protocols in treating gum disease. Through the use of this new laser treatment protocol, we’re able to target the inflamed gum tissue without damaging or removing the healthy tissue, removing the need for scalpels and sutures.
